The first LGBTQIA+ celebration in Eastchester, NY

Tuckahoe NY Pride, a nonprofit organization founded to unify the LGBTQIA+ community in Eastchester, announces their third annual Pride festival in the Village of Tuckahoe. They invite LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies to kick off Pride Month on Saturday May 30th from 4PM to 7PM at the Tuckahoe Community Center. The event will include members from across the broad rainbow of our community in a celebration of all genders. Bring your pronouns!

Gay Pride is celebrated globally in the month of June to commemorate the Stonewall riots in 1969. Celebrations center around the LGBTQIA+ community, helps promote visibility, acceptance, and equal rights. Tuckahoe has notable ties to the community including as the setting for the groundbreaking television series, Maude, which starred gay icon and gay-rights champion, Bea Arthur, and is the is the fictional town in which RuPaul’s Drag Race is held.
